A Poem: "THE KING OF ZONING OUT"
THE KING OF ZONING OUT
by Chris La Vigna (@Chris_La Vigna)
"When my mind starts to wander
Breaks out running,
Deeper,
Into the unknown
Sprinting inward
Soaring outward
I escape
Into uncharted zones
Is it future?
Is it past?
All I know is:
The present can kiss my ass
These cubicles & kitchens
These minimum wage prisons
Are draining my heart
But I’m less than a fart in the breeze
To the Regional Manager
I am The King of Zoning Out
Maybe I’ll be a spy
Double agent, a hitman
With a strict code
Steal a car
Hit the highway
Carve a path
‘Cross the open road
Then I’ll move
Up to Portland
Buy a bar
Have a new band play every night
I know my true self
I warp and I melt
A new consciousness
Will coagulate
To perceive space time app updates
I am The King of Zoning Out"
