TERMINAL TRANSMISSION #21: SIGIL

 TERMINAL TRANSMISSION #21

SIGIL

by Chris La Vigna (@Chris_LaVigna)

Invoking the magick!

Today's broadcast of TERMINAL TRANSMISSION was PRETTY SWEET.  Hahaha, well, at least I thought so! It felt like the perfect way to kick off the official start of the autumn season here in New York. This is always my time to shine! Bring on the pumpkins and cider and jackets and Halloween decorations.

For this week's show, my "Bandcamp Pick Of The Week" was the song "We Shall Not Stray" by The Midnight Fire, a melodic hard rock band from Yonkers, NY that's been toughing it out in the trenches of the local music scene since 2008.  Really dig their sound, check out their EPs on Bandcamp and throw them some bucks.

You should also head over to Bandcamp and buy the benefit compilations Shut It Down: Benefit For The Movement For Black Lives (from which I played "Anarcha" by War On Women) and Ska Against Racism (from which I played "David Duke Is Running For President" by Kill Lincoln & "City Limitations" by The Suicide Machines). Both comps have great music from a whole bunch of bands, and proceeds from both releases will be going directly to Black Lives Matter and/or other Black Rights-centered organizations.

If you missed today's broadcast, you can stream the recording here on the Kpiss website. You can also catch up on past episodes here. See you next week! We're almost done with September! It's almost time for the best month of the year!
