Today's broadcast of TERMINAL TRANSMISSION, the first of the year 2021, was freakin' awesome man. I went in there, guns blazing, high on my 90s morning zoo DJ vibes, and I honestly feel like I nailed it. This was an awesome way to start off the show for the new year. Hopefully I can find a way to keep this positive energy going.

My first "Bandcamp Pick Of The Week" for 2021 was the song "Smegma" by Powerviolets. Pretty sure I discovered this band through one of singer/songwriter Violet Hetson's Tik Toks haha. But once I checked out her music, I was thoroughly impressed. "Smegma" is the closing track on her 2020 release "No Boys" and the whole album is a powerful piece of 21st-century shoegaze. I highly recommend buying it, it's the perfect kinda of sad-yet-snarky music one can use to power through the dregs of winter.
